I will be showcasing all of my art for the first time at the Somers Library all throughout the month of February. There will be a reception held on Saturday, Febraury 16th. If you live in the Westchester, NY area, I hope to see you there!
On a sad note, Etch-a-Sketch inventor André Cassagnes has passed away at the age of 86. He invented the toy in France in the late '50s, originally calling it the Telecran. He lived a nice, long life of inventing and working with fun things. Without his work, I'd likely never have delved as deep into the art world. I can paint and draw, but the joy and excitement people get from seeing my work on the Etch-a-Sketch inspires me to go in that direction. I can't imagine having gone the normal route. Here is an article about his passing which features my Boston Etch.
