Antique Etch-A-Sketch Art

Here are a couple custom vintage Etch-A-Sketches I made. To make these I first had to create a floral stencil in a tape-backed plastic using an xacto knife. I then painted the borders of the etches the base color and once that dried I painted over the floral pattern. I also affixed some antique knobs I found on eBay, which were originally a different color.

Hedy Lamarr

I thought these two actresses would be appropriate for their classic beauty. Kay Francis was the top actress of her era (the late 1930's) and Hedy Lamarr, an actress as well, was also a genius inventor who might have saved the world even. No citation. Both deserving of Etch A Sketch recognition.

Lorde, "Pure Heroine" Etch A Sketch

I think Lorde is pretty cool. I can't remember the last time an artist I enjoyed made such a large impact on the music charts. Very happy for her success. Painted the border on this Etch black and the logo and knobs a light gray to match the album color scheme.
